Modern Art, the art movement that is the most loved and the most hated. These on-going essays start with a cursive outline of the reasons that modern art developed. The author gives examples of modern art images while explaining in plain English the events in art history that inspired artists to explore beyond traditional painting methods and subjects. It is hoped by the end of this Modern Art lecture series that the reader will have gained a greater appreciation of not only the modern art movements but the art movements that precourse modernism and Post-Modernism as well.
